The pull-tab lid is a practical, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally friendly metal bottle cap. With the rapid growth in demand for pull-tab lids in the domestic beer and beverage industry, the project "R&D and Industrialized Application of Key Technologies for Production, Manufacturing, and Quality Control of Beer Pull-Tab Lids," jointly developed by Zhujiang Brewery and other beer industry chain enterprises, recently passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal by an expert panel from the China Light Industry Council. The appraisal concluded that the project's overall technology has reached internationally advanced levels, with the complete set of equipment for high-speed production of beer pull-tab lids filling a domestic gap and achieving international leading standards, demonstrating significant economic and social benefits.

  

  The project team conducted research focusing on the entire industry chain and full life cycle of pull-tab lids, concentrating on the R&D of key technologies for production, manufacturing, application, and quality control of beer pull-tab lids. They established a technologically innovative system encompassing four major dimensions: highly efficient integrated forming processes, innovative material treatment, precision seal structure design, and intelligent online inspection. This successfully broke through technical barriers and addressed "bottleneck" issues such as the high cost and long procurement cycles associated with imported equipment, and realized 95% pull-tab lid equipments are made in china. The project resulted in a complete set of key technologies for the production, manufacturing, quality control, and industrialized application of lightweight pull-tab lids, obtaining 4 authorized invention patents, 20 utility model patents, and 2 software copyrights. 

  Since launching China's first bottle of draft beer in 1997, Zhujiang Brewery has continuously increased efforts in product innovation and upgrading, receiving the market certification for "Zhujiang Draft Beer - China TOP1 Draft Beer Saler" in 2024. Among these achievements, the pull-tab lid technology has been widely applied in Zhujiang Brewery's core product, "Zhujiang Draft Beer 1997," making it a paradigm of excellence in technology application in product. The bottle cap for Zhujiang Draft Beer 1997 uses a self-developed and produced lightweight aluminum pull-tab lid, significantly reducing packaging weight, enhancing environmental attributes, and providing consumers with a multi-dimensional premium experience in vision, taste, and hearing. Upon market launch, this product received honors including the China Alcoholic Drinks Association's Qing Zhuo Award for New Alcoholic Products, a Bronze Medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge, and the Platinum Award for Excellent Beer Innovation Product.

  

 These technological R&D achievements have injected strong momentum into the company's development by fostering core technological competitiveness. Cost reduction and efficiency enhancement benefit the entire industry chain: The integrated design and import substitution of the project have significantly reduced equipment procurement and maintenance costs for related production enterprises adopting the project's equipment. Relying on highly efficient integrated production lines and high product yield rates, production efficiency has been markedly improved, and comprehensive costs have been lowered. Simultaneously, the high cost-performance advantage of domestic pull-tab lids is transmitted downstream in the industry chain, promoting reduced packaging costs, ultimately benefiting a broad range of consumers, and realizing a virtuous cycle of "industrial cost reduction, consumer benefit." Green and intelligent advancements support high-quality development: Several core technologies developed by the project are first ones in china , driving progress in key technologies such as metal packaging stamping, molding, online inspection, and hygienic design. Through highly efficient and energy-saving production processes, the consumption of raw materials like aluminum is reduced, lowering energy consumption and carbon emissions, providing crucial support for the industry's intelligent and green development. The open sanitary capping device continuously improves equipment cleaning efficiency and hygiene standards, solidifying safety defenses for consumer health.
