Established in 1985, Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery Co.,Ltd.( hereinafter referred as Zhujiang Brewery) is a large modern state-owned enterprise focusing its core businesses on beer brewing and beer culture development with packaging as its auxiliary business. Zhujiang Brewery (stock code:002461) was listed in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on August 18th, 2010. Zhujiang Brewery is ranked among the list of Top 10 National Advanced Enterprises in light industry and Top 10 Breweries in China. High-end specilized brewery supported by intelligent manufacturing and operation

Driven by intelligent manufacturing and data operation, Zhujiang Brewery leads in building the first automatic stereoscopic warehouse in China Beer Industry which makes efficency of operation increase 5 times and utility rate of space 4times. It was listed as the first batch of pilot enterprise in trade logistics standization by Ministry of Commerce. Zhujiang Brewery introduced the international-advanced flexible production line which allows intelligent production of products in various packaged forms, making production efficiency increase by 30%. It also adopts innovative business model by building Crafte Beer Experience Center with beer brewing capacity of 20,000hL in the form of “bar in front and factory in back”.

    On 18 June, 1982, Zhujiang Brewery signed the construction contract with Technip, a French engineering design and architecture Company.

    On 15 Dec, 1982, authorized by Guangzhou goverment light industry sector, the brewery with brewing capacity of 500,000 hL is named as Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery.

  • 1985

    At 10:30 am of Dec. 24th, 1985, Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery began its construction project by digging for the foundation.

    On 2 Feb, 1984, the founding ceremony was held with the attendance of the Governor of Guangdong Province.

    At 3:00pm of Nov. 18th, 1985, the completion ceremony was held after 19 months arduous strive, demonstrating fast speed in construciton of a brewery.

    On 23 Oct, 1986, the second stage of Zhujiang Brewery’s project in expanding its brewery capacity to 1,500,000 hL began.

  • 1987

    On 16 July, 1987, Zhujiang Brewery signed its construction contract with Huys Company, Belgium.

    In 1989, Zhujiang Brewery’s first beer packing factory was put into production.

    In March, 1993, the signing ceremony of Zhujiang Brewery’s the third stage project was held.

    Zhujiang Brewery follows a development of centralized brewing and dispersed packing by establishing two beer packing factories in the year of 1993 and 1995. Another five beer packing factory in Guandong Province were successively put into production after

    In Aug, 1997, the first bottle of Draft beer in China was successfully put into mass production by Zhujiang Brewery, filling the blank of beer category in Chinese market.

    In Nov, 1998, Zhanjiang Zhujiang Brewery was established after Zhujiang Brewery merged Zhanjiang Brewery. In Nov, 2006, the first stage of the Zhanjiang project with beer capacity of 2,000,000 hL was completed after its transformation since 2004.

    On 21 March, 1999, the national-level new product (Draft Beer) appraising meeting was organized and held by Guangdong Provincial Economic Committee.

    On 21 Oct, 1999, Zhujiang Brewery signed a contract with Chronx, Germany to introduce draft beer production line with production proficency of 48,000 bottles per hour.

    On 25 Dec, 2000, a symposium on draft beer was held by China Brewing Industry Associate at Zhujiang Brewery.

    In 2000, Zhujiang Brewery developed its own technology of second in-bottle fermentation and brewed the first bottle of white beer with living yeast in China.

    On 28 Nov, 2002, Zhujiang Brewery established a joint-stock company with six sponsors including AB InBev. On 25 Dec of the same year, Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery Co., Ltd hanged out its shingle.

    In Dec, 2002, Zhujiang Brewery’s technical center was ratified as National Enterprise Technical Center by National Goverment Departments.

    On 11 Sept, 2003, Zhujiang Brewery accpeted clean producion audit and inspection by Provincial Goverment Departments.

    On 26 Nov, 2004, the then Prince Phillip of Belgium attended the founding ceremony of Zhujiang-InBev International Beer Museum.

    On 14 July, 2005, Zhujiang Brewery’s brewing technical improvement project was put into production, making it one of the world’s largest brewing center with brewing capacity of 15 million hL.

    On 6 Aug, 2005, symposium on Zhujiang Brewery’s recycling economy mode was held by National Food Productivity Promotion Center, marking a new historical stage of recycling economy in China’s Beer Industry.

    In 2006, a journalist from the first batch of China’s enviroment protection expedition to the North Pole displayed the flag of Zhujiang Beer, demonstrating Zhujiang Brewery’s efforts in supporting enviroment protection.

    On 27 May, 2011, Guangxi Zhujiang Brewery was put into production with brewing capacity of 2,000,000 hL, whose expenses for construction were raised from securities maket.

    On 18 Aug, 2012, Meizhou Zhujiang Brewery was put into production with brewing capacity of 2,000,000 hL, the first state-owned enterprise in Meizhou High-tech Industrial Park.
